what's on Netflix?

Post by gundownunder »

So I've just joined Netflix and started watching Longmire.
Some months ago some of you were talking about a western series that was on. Could someone remind me what that series was called.
Also anything else that's good viewing for us levergun addicts?

Use the Search Function for westerns.
Also, there is a "more like this" function.

Along with the above mentioned movies I can recommend the movie WIND RIVER..it has some good 45-70 lever action shooting and even shows him reloading for it. Trailer below.

Also the movie THE SALVATION. Pretty hard core graphic western.

+1 :D

"Godless" was a mini-series made recently, and it wasn't bad either.

The first season of "The Son" is available on DVD from Netflix.
From muzzle loaders in 1850 to autoloaders in 1915.

Wind river, and hell on wheels I've seen on foxtel. I think Godless was probably the other one that was mentioned some time ago on here.
Yeh Blaine, I thought of using the search function, but I must be tekonogically challenged cause I couldn't find it.
Hatfields and Mccoys is definitely on my "to watch" list.

Justified is a modern day gunslinger show.

Godless was the western miniseries last winter. Really good.

Longmire was the best I have seen in a modern western.

Another voter here for "Godless."

And "The Son." Lots of scenes with a Winchester 1907SL.

"Slow West" only so-so. Two hours I can't get back.

+1 on "Slow West".

Hmmm, I wonder why you are fond of the scenes with the Winchester 1907SL?

  Gee, I wonder. Could be because I am foolish enough to have a pair of them. And foolish enough to enjoy shooting them when the cartridges are even expensive to reload. But no one ever said brains and bullets ALWAYS go together.

Great movie. And, the most depressing I've seen in awhile. :(

The Salvation was pretty good.

I canceled my Netflix account when they hired the Obamas.
