That's why I like leverguns. Sure new stuff shoots flatter, faster, more shots (maybe), but few have soul. When I pick up a 100 year old Winchester,or Marlin I feel something no semi auto makes ME feel....history.

very cool story....similar to mine and I am sure to many others here too. love those old guns with family history

I know what you mean, although a well-worn Garand would certainly be an exception..... :wink:

Excellent article. The only bolt gun I own is a 1898 30-40 krag my grandson bought for me, I do have a few lever guns. I like to carry my dad's 1951 94 Winchester 30-30 carbine.
