Expensive, and Fugly, but....looks fun...

Ruger's No. 1 in 450 Bushmaster.... https://ruger.com/products/no1/models.html

I'd prefer one in 50 Beowulf though.

I have a 450 AR, it is very accurate and if I ever get back to Colorado for an elk hunt I'm gonna use it.
Wish there was more data for heavier bullets tho!

Personally, I think the .450 is great for what it was designed to be -- a .45 for the AR. While I have no doubt it would serve admirably in many circumstances, I would think long and hard before going after elk with one. This article by Chuck Hawks sums it up pretty well:

Too many superior rounds chambered in the No. 1 for me to want a .450.

I'd certainly lean toward heavier(300s) for elk. The place I go is private property and the longest shot in taken is about 150. 338 Win mag on one cow and 338 federal on the other. Cant eat antlers and cow tags are cheaper!
I have reloaded XTP'S and FLEX TIPS, my gun shoots them both to same POI. Lil'Gun is my powder of choice.
I agree the 450 wouldn't be my first choice for a no.1. I'd really like one in 9 3x74R ! Or 300 H& H.
