from the article:

"Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officials had been on site to investigate if the bourbon contaminated a river located 250 feet away from the warehouse. Firefighters could not determine if the alcohol got into the water supply."

But downstream many local residents were found floating midstream, sipping the water and thanking the Lord for such great tasting water.

Heck, I would have rushed to the scene to help ensure as little as possible got into the river.....

Makes me think of all the old cows sucking up the seepage coming out of the bottom of silage pits. One of my buddies Dads would get angry at them and call them drunkun wh**es and state that he hated milking drunk cows!

Chickens will also get drunk off the residue from a silage fermentation pit.

What a waste. Too bad the EPA got there. It could have made for some interesting fishing.
