Sad news, I grew up watching Cheyenne on TV. Rest in peace Cheyenne.

Never heard a negative remark about this gentleman.

RIP, Mr. Walker.

Nice guy. He came to our annual collector gun show each year with his wife. Very non Hollywood people, and a joy to talk to. RIP Clint.

I don't remember him in a bad role. He had a reputation as a friendly person who took time for his fans. May he Rest In Peace.

I am saddened to hear this. As far as I know, he is the last of my childhood hero's to go. Well done, Mr. Walker, enjoy the rewards of a life well lived.

He made it to 90, and should have died in a skiing accident in 1971, in which a ski pole pierced his heart and he was declared dead. Good life.
Blaine, if you ever get a chance to watch "Cheyenne" reruns, grab it. Walker's character epitomized an earnest decency that I cannot recall in any other television show, even at the height of Warner Brothers' "golden era." Really good scripts. Richard Boone in "Have Gun Will Travel" may have been more sophisticated, but his Paladin had a profound cynical streak. (By the way, Boone was descended from Daniel's brother, Squire Boone.)

He always seemed like a genuine nice guy not a Hollywood phony. The role I remember him most from was the flick "Night of the Grizzly". RIP Mr. Walker

Such a gentleman. I met him once and wrote to him once to which he responded with a signed photo of him from the Cheyenne days. I enjoy his shows.

RIP big fellow.
