I has been in a coon's age. It had issues. I posted on here, but the smith found other issues. What is a good it light load?

175 gr. gas checked lead bullet, under 14-16 gr. 5744 powder.

So what were the issues?
The 30-30 is a mild cartridge as factory ammo goes, if it won't handle that I would either fix it or retire it.
