Ruger Blackhawk Convertible - 38/40-10mm

Post by AJMD429 »

I figured some folks here might be interested - https://www.gunbroker.com/item/761441234. It's not my gun; just got an ad on it.

The Ruger Buckeye is not a conversion.
It came out of the factory that way.
I have one. I used to collect curiosities.
They also made one in 32-20 / .32 H&R.

I have one of the new 40/10mm stainless Blackhawks and it is a nice revolver. The 10mm cylinder is more accurate than the 40 S&W cylinder. I am probably going to scrounge up a spare cylinder and have it rechambered to 38-40 down the line since I have an 1892 in 38-40.

I corrected the title; I just knew it wasn't a hardtop...

I have one in 32-20 & 32 H&R but not having another gun in 32 H&R, I really just use the 32-20 cylinder.

Now I use my 45 ACP 45 Colt ones equally...

I bought a stainless Single Six in 32 H&R a few years ago from Davidson's and it is a nice revolver. I am going to try shooting 32-20 out of my 30 carbine one of these days when I pick up some brass.

I had the 32-20 , 32 MAG version . Bought it Unfired in the box at an auction . Kept it three years still unfired and sold it on Gunbroker for a nice profit .

That’s one of the Buckeye Sports guns. If anyone truly wants a good one for a good price, I just posted one in classified. It’s simply going to waste here & someone can make better use of it.

The 38-40 is the original 10mm revolver round. So they do make a 10mm six gun.
