Couple of Interesting American Rifleman articles

Post by AJMD429 »

Lever action accuracy - https://www.americanrifleman.org/articl ... -accuracy/ - reminds me I want to work up a precision load for my marlin XLR 30-30.... :|

Speaking of precision shooting - I've always wanted to practice long-range highpower shooting, but ammo costs start piling up, and I don't have that long a range to practice. The dinky 22 LR can approximate some of the same challenges at 200 yards or so that the 45-70 poses at 400 yards, or the 30-06 would at 600 yards, etc... This looks fun - https://www.americanrifleman.org/articl ... challenge/

Doc, that Eley Rimfire Challenge looks like a hoot -- and an affordable hoot at that.

I load down my 94 30-30 so I can iron sight plink with my brother. Great times.
Good articles, thanks for that.
... I should also add that, he just put together a pretty sic scoped sr-22 rifle so he could plink with my scoped marlin 60, haha.
Can't wait to get out there this year! lol
