Winchester ceased to exist in 2006. Might as well use the buildings for something. No sense wasting them.

Interesting. I always thought abandoned buildings were fascinating....like old firearms - '....if only they could talk...'

At this point the Winchester abandoned buildings have little interest beyond their historical value. It would have been fun to be able to search the ruins right after the factory closed, to see if any old parts were stuck in nooks and crannies. Doubt there's even some screws left at this point.

Makes me sad. I wish New Haven was still churning out the good old pre war stuff.

I'd even take the post '64 top eject models... But... since they didn't do even that for the 24 years the factory doors were open after the 94AE made it's debut, I guess we can both forget it ever happening again.
