Finaly got out in the woods

Couldn`t go to far as I don`t feel real chipper yet but we got out in the woods, had some hot chocolate and peaches.

Nice pics Pitch......yep...there's just somethin' about being in the woods that brings a calming effect. People were not designed to live in crowded cities and for me, the further people are away from me....the better.

We are headed for a biggie tonight and all through tomorrow.....up to 16" of wet snow. The wood is brought in, the food well stocked up, Jeeps in the garage, and the only thing I gotta do is run up to the Giant and get a 12 pack.

You look good with that beard and the single action on your side. :D

I miss the pics you used to post with Snoopy-----6

Lenn, we could sure use a pinch or two of your snow on our mountains. Very poor snowpack in the headwaters of the Rio Grande and irrigation season is already starting. I planted an apple and two plum trees a couple of days ago, and one of the plums was already through with blossoming. Next up is to build a raised bed and get some tomatoes in.

Pitchy, with my dodgy old back it was a good workout. One rock was so big I had to leave it in there. Afterward, it was beer and aspirin time ...

Great to see You and Norma Up and out. I took the Three Grandsons down to the state park today, there is a beaver dam in the swamp just 1/4 mile from Lake Erie. they are 4, 5 1/2 & 6 years old .been snowing all day but pretty warm. by the time we walked a mile they were all soaked with boots full of water. Lake Erie was really pounding from all the wind.
I call that pretty good shooting, those hostiles don't have a chance. :D

I'd say that ain't bad. Fifty yards is a fair poke for a 44 six shooter.

Nath nope Norma doesn`t shoot much, once in a while a 22. :)
Jay that`s a old model Vaquero and has always been a good shooter, one of the handguns I can see the sight on fairly well. :)
Thanks fellars. :)

Lenn, I had an old model Vaquero in .45 Colt with 7.5-inch barrel, and using FFFg and that old black Remington dish-base dirty-lubed bulk bullet they used to sell, darn if it wasn't as accurate as any smokeless pistol with adjustable sights that has passed through my hands. Of course, I traded it off. Mother Powell's first-born never had much sense when it came to gun trading. Still doesn't.

80 degrees here today. We have a lot of trees leafing out and pear and peach trees in bloom. Our 2 weeks of Winter lasted almost the whole 2 weeks and got below freezing for a little while.
