I remember as a 5th grader discovering that Saltpeter and Powdered Sugar was good for smoke-signal devices.

If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

I always thought it would be fun to make a go-kart powered by multiple solid rocket motors. The more motors the more thrust.

I made rocket engines using empty rifle cases and black powder. Bell the case mouth to form the rocket nozzle,
Add water to the powder to make a paste, pack the case full of the powder paste, let it dry in a sunny window for
Several days. This makes for a solid fuel rocket engine that will propel a dowel about 100 yd. light it off with a fuse.

It's surprising that with all the terrorist activity over the last few years and anti gun hysteria these days that genius politicians have not tried to ban model rockets.

Heck years ago when I was a kid my Dad had to get a state permit for Estes model rocket motors so I could have FUN! But then again here a Red Ryder is considered a firearm and requires a 4473!
