Request for prayers and good thoughts

Post by Bill in Oregon »

Friends, I don't do this often, feeling more blessed to give than receive them. But I recently found a lump in my neck, and my doctor ordered an ultrasound today to decide how to proceed: removal and biopsy or I could become a candidate for lymphoma treatment. I am, of course, hoping it is benign and that's the end of the story. Was hoping to rattle around for a few more years and maybe see a grandchild born.
Many thanks for the support I know I will get from the caring folks at this fine place.

Prayers up.

+ plus encouragement. Current state of the art medicine can often handle such things quite well. Stay positive and get 'er done.

Prayers up Bill. Miracles still happen. A fishing buddy's wife had a brain tumor just vanish last week after prayer. God's still in charge.

Praying in So. Oregon. Had a similar bump on my neck in 2010. A few surgeries, a bit of treatments, a lot of time spent with God and today I'm hunky-dory! Prayers work! Praying for a benign lump!

Prayers up buddy, I know they can work. Even if it's one of the "L's", it is surely treatable.

Warning - recovery could involve having to avoid things like housework, and might require you to devote more time to reading hunting stories, watching westerns, and spending time at the range.

Well, no muscle or lymph nodes appear to be implicated. Advice is "clinical followup to confirm stability and/or resolution is recommended at a minimum." So I am guessing a little surgery and biopsy lies ahead. See doc in a week for next steps. At least it is not cause for immediate despair. Thanks, gang.

Good news. The lump has mostly disappeared. I choose to believe intercessory prayer had a whole lot to do with it, and convinced God to give a Mulligan to one of his most consistent, backsliding sinners. Thank you to all who sent knee mail and or good thoughts.

You still should avoid housework - it might make the nodule come back....
