.63"v.75"

Post by Nath »

I hunted with my short Bessy at the weekend. The .750" bore and large flash hole means she has to consume heavy charges and heavy payloads. 2oz of shot usually and then she speaks!

The .63" trade gun amazingly could not be more different! It works sweetly with just an ounce of shot.

Self portraits are done on a timer. Usually just propped up on something handy.

I nearly once bought a trade musket, it seemed like a useful bad times firearm. They certainly worked well in it's day for the folks who depended on them.

Nath, yer a bad influence. I almost had to buy aT/C Scout in .54 because of your pics and posts. Luckily someone else saw it was a great deal and bought it before I got home! Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!
