I need to see some pictures from Nath of green fields, a successful hunt and sunsets!

My bear hunt outfitter in New Brunswick just called to say he has delayed for a week his marketing trip to the USA due to the weather.

Those storms make our Dallas area winter look wimpy!

45 below zero wind chill here in Vermont
I just picked up a new Ranch Hand 44 mag and 2 new down hill sleds the old fashion kind where you walk back up the hill.Way to cold to shoot or hunt or slide.Boom cyclone never heard of it

We have 15" worth of Southern New England snow flurries here (with lots of drifting due to the high winds), so far - but, as Yogi Berra once said, it's not over til it's over....

The weatherheads on TV say the temp will go below zero tonite, so I'm making sure everything's cleared of snow, so there shouldn't be snow on the driveway & vehicles to freeze up & be a bear to remove.

So far, the power's still "on", which makes little difference to me, since I have a 7.5KW genny in my shed, hooked up to my home.

Soooo, as long as the coffee lasts, I should be good to go.

Well, we have over a foot up in central Maine.

It's up over 25F, too - the one positive part of the storm!

This weekend promises to be frigid. The high Saturday is
supposed to be around 0F; the low at -20F or more. With
wind. And we'll have to finish the cleanup then, too.

On the plus side, I've got plenty of firewood, people who love me,
and I'm eating well. Just had grilled, (yes, I fired up the grill in the
snowstorm!) pork chops stuffed with gouda and bacon. So life
could be worse!

A few folks are without power. I hope that they get it back quickly.

Just got up to go to work......aint gonna happen. Buddy I ride with got stuck trying to get to the main road.....that isn't plowed either. Don't see a 50+ mile ride in this. Drifts will be murder.
Went down in the gun room and had a beer. Lot's of work tomorrow.

It was almost a white hurricane. Some fishermen lost their ships yesterday being battered against the wharves. One caught fire at the dock and is a total lost in Yarmouth Harbour, Nova Scotia. Storm surge covering many low areas with water and ice. Plus parts of the electrical grid is down again and was not totally fixed since the last storm hit at Christmas .

This morning I stopped by the shore and took a few photos. The cloud shield of the storm is moving away to the east. Just cold 0F and medium winds around 25 mph.
