In theory, the Peterson device was one hell of an invention and common sense says it would have been a great trench cleaner. It's downfall was the power of the cartridge and of course, the new coming inventions of the submachine gun.

That guy has nothing to worry about. If his is, indeed the real deal, there's a long history behind it as to previous owners and guaranteed, a couple were generals. Did ya ever wonder how tens of thousands of US Military machine guns are legally owned? NONE were ever sold to civilians...they were all stolen guns at one time. The amnesty of 1968 made them legal...as long as you reported it.

I've run across more than a few of the 03 springfields that had the cut out for the magazine and they don't bring much, if any of a premium. My buddy down Targetmaster has one in his office.----6

I recall reading in just the last few weeks that someone is looking into manufacturing the Pederson device as a working piece.
