Visit to a favourite little place.

Post by Nath »

Woodland everywhere, rolling pasture and thick patches of undergrowth. Perfect for small game.
Two rabbits taken by a .440" ball from a smoothbore :D

Next I was after a rooster so I switched to a shot load.
After missing a couple of easy shots Jess popped up for me I finally connected. Time to go home, content and feeling honoured to have such access to a lovely place.

Such a lovely place and so much game. You are truly a blessed man with a fine companion. I hope to enjoy similar when this new knee gets broken in.

Nice Nath!
It's funny how we can run the woods our whole lives, see countless beautiful spots, but some are just special.
I hunt some beautiful country now and am lucky enough to own it, but I always think of the place I hunted growing up with my dad and cousin. It's mostly houses now, but it's burned in my memory.

Nath, thank you again for showing a side of England I never knew existed. Really beautiful country.

Awesome Nath, I wish You many more Hunts there. I have had one, bordered a public hunting area that was ringed by Beaver swamps. My friend and I spent a lot of time poking around and found our way to the "other side" more than 2 thousand acres of woods and field and swamp. full of huge Deer, squirrels, ducks and more ruffed Grouse than I could have ever thought possible. forty years ago before 4x4 wheelers , and portable tree stands. no one was crazy enough but us to walk in. We had it to ourselves for about ten years. now it's all houses. . How I Miss it.
