New old 94 .32 Special...
Brought my latest impulse buy home Saturday...a Winchester '94, .32 Special, made in 1939...Used, and shows it's age some, but the bore shines like new, it locks up tight, action is very smooth and the wear on the blue looks good to me..
the BAD THING - it had been drilled for a side mount scope, the holes now plugged, but still there...I'm no collector so that means I could get this rifle for $400...so I did. And I do have the mount, rings and an old scope - maybe '50's...
Sorry, no pics yet...
BUT when people tell you the old version is much better...they are right.

Good stuff.
I've had good luck with the 32WS. Have several and are all good shooters. The most accurate lever I own is a 32 rifle with 2/3 mag.

Very Cool!
The first trip to the range with mine about a month ago.
Put together a small pile of brass and bullets with a new set of dies since then. Need to get back out to the range.
Mine dates out to 1941.

Congratulations on giving a good home to a rifle in need of a place to stay. Some of those unfortunate firearms are homeless due to circumstances beyond their control and were not abused. Hope it appreciates you and never gives you any trouble.

You can't hurt those old Winchesters as long as you don't beat them. Your 32 Spl. Will do fine with cast bullets and it ain't nothing to shoot a couple of hundred rds. on a Saturday for 10 or 15 bucks.----6

Re: New old 94 .32 Special...
It was the only gun my dad and I hunted deer with, mine was a pass down from my great aunt, 30's something, very good condition.
My dad's was one he had purchased just after the war when he came home, 40's something. We never cleaned them, sighted them
in once a year before deer season, they rarely needed any adjustment at all. Don't remember my dad or myself missing a buck, of
course we were shooting from inside 100 yards all the time. They are amazing guns, I still hunt with a 1946 94 in 32 special, killed
a buck this year near home with it. Love watching cowboy movies partly because they (mistakenly) all have 94's .

That is a nice rifle. You got a good deal and isn't that some pretty wood? The last 94 32WS I had was traded for a Savage 99F in 250/3000. I have neither of them now.
