Rifle walk.

Post by Nath »

Took the day off work and spent 8 hours in the field.
What a tonic.

First time using Hornady 30 vmax WMR and it is good ammo.

Eight squirrels were taken.

Alarm calls from little birds told me a predator was about, turned out to be a stoat.

Managed to shoot a pheasant for the table, boy them necks are a small target at 100 yds or so!

Jess had a grand day and slept like a log all night.

Looks like Jess is snarling at that squirrel. Good to see you two in the field.

Now THAT'S a good day off!!!

Actually, any day off from work is "good"...

My SUV that tows my boat has a sticker that says: "A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work."

Glad to see you & Jess out and about Nath.

Cheers!

Nicely done.

My WMR guns seem to shoot the 34 grain Winchester and the 33 grain Remington the best. I don't know why. The autoloader especially loves to chew on the 34 grain Winchester. And now that I've mentioned it, I went and looked and nobody has stock on it. It almost looks discontinued. That is irritating but par for the course for what shoots in my guns. I've only tried the CCI 30 grain stuff, not the Hornady in 30 grain. I wonder if they're all made at the same place and just labeled accordingly.

Is that a CZ you're shooting?
