That sucks. Ice for a couple of days, then heat.

By the way, if you bake Pheasant in something like Golden Mushroom soup, it becomes quite tender and is the best flavor of any bird.

I just realized I haven't posted any recent pics!
4 months old now, 33 lbs.
I spent a total of about 2 hours teaching her to sit & give paw... She might be too smart for my own good!!

 Better an empty bag than something which you needed and would have to pay to replace. Or, even worse, something which would make her sick.

Momma Win and Parker puppy enjoying a nice warm bed on a cold winter morning.

Yesterday Parker discovered tweety birds feeding on the bird feeders- should have seen the look on her face when she ran at the bird feeder and the birds scattered... even though it's single digits and below zero windchill I'm having a hard time getting her in the house, just wants to watch/ chase the birds!

Yes Bill, now she is all legs and tail! Most puppies chase their tails- her tail is so long she catches it all the time!
She has finally learned how to climb onto the couch. She can jump and make it no problem but she doesn't KNOW that !

Winter storm Greyson has had no effect on Parker, she spent most of the day yesterday ringing the bell to go out so she could chase the tweety birds at the feeders. A real hoot to watch the wheels turning, she'd sit in the snow waiting until enough birds were gathered and then run at the feeder scattering the birds. Then she would sit and wait again and run back. She was having a ball!

Took Parker out for a drive yesterday, she is a good passenger, sits nice on the seat, looks out the window. Although it's been a work in progress, she used to throw-up, pee and poop just a few weeks ago!
We made the rounds, bank for cookies, pet store for cookies( had to get dog food too), got a new stuffed squeaky toy, stopped to see UPS driver ( he is a bird hunter, CASS shooter and all around good guy) and then we stopped at vet for a nail trim and more cookies!
She weighed 39.9 lbs!

Sounds as if she will be big enough to carry the dead ducks back to you all day long when she is full grown. Good for you to socialize her while still young.

We are approaching 5 months old, she is all legs and tail now. Just about as tall as her big sister!
Last night Mom, Winnie and Parker were playing and next thing I know she has stopped to chew on something that appeared to be stuck in her cheek, yup a canine had fallen out and a premolar was AWOL too.

Well all but 1 puppy tooth has fallen out, in a hold pattern for a bit to see if it's going to fall out with new tooth growing in or if she needs to have it pulled.

Got home from work, decided to take Parker to town, get gas, stop at the bank and swing by the vet office for a quick visit and get a weight...45.0 lbs on the nose!
Then of course she got a little car sick coming home and puked on the truck seat! ( I just ordered seat covers)

Actually Bill they get some green beans or carrots or wax beans at each meal. Also get a fruit snack every night, apples ,pears, bananas or some melon. They REALLY go nuts for watermelon!
Labs all have a hankering for wood, be it paper, sticks - my very first lab would go out in the woods to find the perfect sapling, dig it up by the roots and bring it home to chew!

Oh man, my first lab would eat anything! While I was building my first house she would pull a 2x4x8 off the stack and run around the yard with it. Knee capping anyone silly enough to try and take it away. She would find a nice shady spot and do her best to turn the whole thing into tooth picks!
I sure miss that girl!!

Thanks for the pictures, she's a beauty!

Jason that's a riot! I can see that happening and I'm laughing!

My first lab, way back in '84 would go out in the woods to hunt down just the right sapling, then she would dig it out of the ground and bring it back and lay in the yard to chew it for a week or so. When she got tired of that tree she'd go get another!

Here is Mom(Win) & daughter(Parker)
