Paging JimT

Post by J Miller »

I just remembered the 480 Achilles SA you had made up. Got to shoot it at the Sixgun / Leverguns meet in IN some years back.

I was wondering if you still had it, and if you had done any more testing with it.

Hey Joe! Yes and No. It's still mine. I left it with John Taffin when I moved to Africa. Then another friend wanted to hunt with it and he has it for now. I will go visit him or he will come see me in the Spring and I will get it back.

Yes I still have it.
No I don't have it with me.

:)

Still a fun gun!!

Yep, that's the one I was talking about. Dated Oct 2004.

Jim,

Ever since I read all your articles about it and shot it I've been fascinated by it. Don't have the funds to build one now, but I still think about it.
How do you think it would work with a 4.75" barrel?

I am sure it would work just fine. It is a small capacity cartridge ... low pressure .. and would not be that different than 45 Auto Rim in some regards.

Cool. The .45 AR I am familiar with.

If I ever get through this .... umm slump, to where I can get back to shooting I'll keep this idea in mind.

Ray,

I might be able sometime to do one, but you really went through the work to figure these out. Wow.
