Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
Oh, man I could think of all kinds of jobs to use that thing on! Seems all sorts of stuff has gotten too close to the ground in the last few years...
Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
This model is real reasonable, made by Titan out of MS, I bought this one on ebay for 429.00 free shipping but you can buy a coupon for Harbor freight on ebay for it and pick one up at the store for three something.

Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
I got the same thing, only with cushions and leg-rests, but I use it for patients.....for the same reason....otherwise by days-end, my back would be killing me....!
With this, even elderly or handicapped people can get a good exam, without ME feeling too elderly and handicapped at the end of the day...!
Never tried to put a motorcycle on it though....

Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
I'll tell you what I'm amazed at......that Pitchy would spend $429 on something when he has the ability and the raw materials laying around to build one himself. Geeze Pitchy, look at all of the rum and cokes that $429 would buy.
Anyway, that is a nice bike lift Lenn---6

Jack I`m getting lazy I guess though I don`t have the steel to build one anyway.
We`re trying to change out the rear brake light switch on the bike, man did they hide that thing ya can`t get a wrench on it no how.
It`s a pressure switch hid back behind the tranny plus they made it a weird shape that must take a special Harley wrench of some kind.

Oh yeah Lenn, that's a dandy. I got a coupon in the mail from Harbor Freight so mine was $300 + tax. My Sporty is on it right now. Lifts my FLH too but I think it's a bit over the 600lb. limit. Hasn't broke yet though. Happy for you.

Pitchy...there's not many people that I have confidence in and if there is a problem, I know YOU can handle it. Ahhhh...just put a toggle switch on the ape hangers and call it a day.....I just got back from filling my gut up with a greasy burger and four Goose IPA drafts. Let's party!----6
Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
Thanks, Ron this one has a 1,000 pound limit, handy thing for doing lots of things.
Got that switch replaced what a bugger, Six yep lets party.
Wish I`d had it the other day when we restored this old corn sheller.

Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
That's cool Pitchy! You have some serious antiques at your homestead. I never heard of such a thing.---6
Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
Thanks Jack, I don`t have a vid yet as I have no ear corn.
Ya put a ear of dry ear corn in the top and it takes the kernels off the cob and the corn comes out the bottom and the cob out the end, there`s also a fan at the bottom that blows off the chaff as the corn falls to the pan.

Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
Man, you made quick work of that sheller! It's like I went through a time warp out wheeling yesterday.
I like the bike lift, buddy! I just got one of those cheapie hydraulic bike jacks.
Now I gotta hit the garage to rattle can rock rash and straighten out skid pans.

Thanks Rusty and Jay, hope the damage isn`t to bad on that beautiful jeep but what the heck fun is fun.
Yea Norma and me stay right at something until we get er done but pay for it with sore mussels and backs.
Getting wood up is taking it`s toll this year.

Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
Naw, it ain't too bad haha. Crushed a center cap on one wheel, bunch of rock rash underneath, and bent the skid pan some. Been looking for an excuse to put on a flat skid anyway. The extra clearance will help a lot.
Don't you guys overdo it! I know you got quite a woodpile put up already. There is still some time, take it easy.

Re: Shooting prone at higher elevations
Yep I believe it is, do a search on ebay for harbor freight coupons for that lift also.
So far I like it seems to work great.
