Parts interchangeability

Post by Naphtali »

Browning's M71, and Browning and [new model] Winchester 1886s are made by the same Japanese manufactory. Are the three loading gate assemblies interchangeable among all three rifles? I am aware that M71 and 1886 assemblies are different. I think I am really asking whether loading gates' ports are the same lengths and have the screw hole that affixes the gate assemblies to gates are identically located and accept identical screws?
