The cars are tin plate Marks , they aren't real heavy but when ya get a string of them they pull a little in the corners.
I`m going to hook the Bowman to them but may have to put some wheel weights in the coal cars to slow it down.

Pitchy, I just love seeing a nice head of steam like that. Your layout is really sweet. Does the little Mamod run on butane?

Yepper, the boiler is only about two inches by four, it has some super heater tubes under it which helps a bunch.
Run time is pretty short though.

Vids? What vids? Those were reprints of home 16mm films from my Uncle.

People would pay to see something like that around here.....that's for real. I'm thinking a longer track with a tunnel, a viaduct, a steep grade with some switchbacks ....maybe a little man with a gun.....or like the Mexicans.....riding on top on the cars with guns and cannons. Have an ambush alley running a gauntlet with good guys shooting drug dealers.....then the train has a set of tracks going alongside of a little creek shooting wetbacks crossing the creek ......and then a few feet underground ...like a subway, where thugs try to stop the train to rob it and out pops a good guy ...dressed like Sylvester Stallone....with a miniature M-60 and a hand grenade.......you could make a fortune...you got the space.....add a hundred or two feet of track all riding through different scenarios....-----6

Great run there Lenn. I wish the pain in my legs would ease up enough for me to do some project. I managed to get some mowing done yesterday along with some help from my 15 year old. Don't know what I'd do without him. Going to a Grandson 's wedding this afternoon over on the lake. Would it be proper to take my rod along?

Very cool. Pitchy, I always enjoy seeing the things you make and post. I like seeing steam locomotives. That track is better than just a plain oval.

Bill the red one is tame compared to the green loco, here`s a vid from this morning it`s right on the edge of flying off the track as it heated up she kept gaining speed.
After this vid I had to add seven wheel weights to the coal cars to slow her down.
