Prayer Request Lung cancer

Post by w30wcf »

Guys,
Back in march the whole left hand side of my body went numb.
A CT scan indicated that I had a tumor in my brain . Heck! How did that get there?
Most of It was removed on March 28 and thankfully, I healed up fairly quickly.
Markers in the tumor indicted it was small cell lung cancer which had metastized to my brain. Yikes!

Gamma knife was scheduled for May 8 to go after the small portion that the surgeon could not get since it was firmly attached to brain tissue. However, an updated
CT scan indicated that the tumor had partially regrown ( I could feel some numbness starting to set in in my left foot and hand which Is how it originally started then progressed to the left hand side of my body being totally numb.) So…. The only other option now is WBR (whole brain radiation)which I have some concerns about. Anyway, I am 2/3rd’s of the way through that with 7 more days to go.

I would appreciate prayers for a good outcome.

thank you,

Jack....I'm at a loss for words other than we all know there will be a speedy recovery with total remission. This means you have no excuse for not showing up at McKean County Rifle Club next month for the Regionals. Tammy Haynes is putting on a great show. "The Gunny",Jack R., George, and myself are renting a cabin and can squeeze you in. OK?------....just a thought...3 "Jacks" in the same rat hole? Come on...it will be fun.---6

Jack, you're in my prayers - IME a PMA (positive mental attitude), like you seem to have, is the best way to deal with treating a carcinoma.

John,

You are on my prayer list, right up there with a few priorities. Positive thinking sometimes helps but in my mind treatment is the best method. Whatever it takes we will do. May God bless you.
