requesting thoughts and prayers

Post by hfcable »

have to go in tomorrow for cardiac ablation....done under general anesthesia, lasts 3 hours or more. was supposed to do it later in the day so I could work the am, but have to be under by 1030 am. not without risk, especially for a person like me with genetic immune deficiency. not worried, really.....since what can I do but sleep and I am quite good at that :) the cardiologist promised if anything really bad [ i.e. fatal ] happens he wont wake me up to tell me !

heart went into abnormal rhythm [ atrial fib and now atrial flutter ] and even though I have a very strong heart this has put me into " right sided diastolic heart failure so this has got to be fixed.

if all goes well, we can still go into our remote mining / hunting site for a week, starting on the 20th.......gonna take my 405 with me there [ not in the hospital ! ] as there are lots of big bears back there.

anyway, appreciate your prayers and thoughts......I plan to check back in here saturday

I've been running behind all week, didn't see your original post until just now. Glad it came along with the good report. Y'all take care of yourself, y'hear? Oh - and have fun on your excursion. I'm stuck in urbanville for the foreseeable future - although I'm hoping for a time in the Rockies next year sometime...

Oh, and DON'T feed the bears! (nor let them feed on you!)

I understand, but you also know that it is almost impossible to remain professionally detached when you are your own patient. For your own good, trust your colleague and follow his advice.
