When All is Said and Done, This is the Last...

Post by mohavesam »

Last season of the Longmire series. 2017 is season six, and Netflix hasn't detailed the future but last year stated 6 and out.

Craig Johnson's short stories and novels are still very hot sellers, they are a good read so here's hoping they continue. They usually last about one plane ride.

Shame, I've only just started watching the series over here. :(

Liked the show. But I won't pay to see a TV show. Too much other good stuff around.

I do enjoy the books very much, but am a fan of wry and dry humor. I like the show too, but you just can't take it too literally. Wonder when the last season will show up on Netflix?

Well considering Netflix is only $10 a month, I hardly think about it. I hate paying cable TV prices, but Longmire is well worth the $10 a month, especially since I can watch other movies on Netflix too.

Actually, the netflix rate is 8.99 here, which allows four "accounts" at a time. So the family splits the monthly fee (paid annually - big deal) and up to four of us can watch any netflix show in different cities, TVs, tablets, etc at the same time. Great for my 88-yr old Mom.
None of us have cable TV nor would we pay such a bill, and a Roku-type wireless receiver allows dozens of free and optional pay channels anyway.

Longmire is the best story (with a lever action-wielding hero) by far IMO, and there are more worth watching when the TV is on. We don't live in a cave after all.

I'm through episode 7 of season 6 and they're doing an excellent jobs of clearing up some loose ends from previous seasons. Many old characters are back for short stints.

I still don't like the blonde tone of the wood on that 94 he carries ... just not my taste.

Can't stream or do cable where I live, but I've seen a couple episodes, and liked em enough I might buy the DVD set if it comes out that way.

Well, it concluded to my reluctant satisfaction. :( I hope they come back and continue the story. With the way they ended it, there are at least another six seasons of stories left they could delve into....
