Found out today I lost a close friend to sudden death.

Post by Tycer »

Travel well Jim Johnson. Godspeed. I love you.
Heal well Resa, you and yours. I am at your service.

Never lost a close friend before. The waves of sadness surprise me.
We bury him tomorrow.
Please send you thoughts to his family.
Kind regards,
Tycer

Lost my friend since 3rd grade last year. Didn't know he was ill, even though he lived only 30 miles away.

I feel for ya bud.......here in the East where drugs and alcohol rule the roost, I've lost probably at least half the guys from my class of '72......that I hung around with.....party animals. Most all were lifestyle. I knew enough to get away from that at an early age. Caught up with a couple of buds last week who look like they are in their seventies and they are my age...62

They asked me how do I look the same.....well, I told them my Italian wife made me cut that stuff out long ago.

Life goes on....I've learned to accept this type of news.----6

Sorry to hear Tycer. It's never easy. I found out last week that a close friend from high school twin sister had died from years of abuse. I didn't know her as well as her sister but it makes me so sad for my friend.

Best wishes for your friend's family.

A good friend, now deceased had a saying. As you age you will loose good friends until the day your good friends loose you.

Bill was the first of our high school group to pass away. More have gone since then, yet many are still here.

Thanks guys. Means a lot. Jim was the epitome of health. His aorta popped while having lunch with his sister. His left arm twitched twice, he began to say he didn't feel well and before he finished his sentence he was gone.

Beautiful service today. He touched many people. There were easily 200 people there. Thirteen of them were buddies from the 60's. It was good closure that everyone pitched in to fill the grave with soil.
Kind regards,
Tycer

Not much comfort, but at least he didn't suffer. A significant number of my high school graduating class has been lost to alcohol and fast cars.

I lost a good friend in Vietnam. My best friend lost a great friend that was in the sandbox with him. Hung himself.
The good Lord will take care of all.
Prayers to you and is family.

My condolences to you and the family.
