Fundamental Weirdness...

Post by Old Ironsights »

So, I'm in my after-work house clothes (a kilt and wife-beater), watching season One of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (look it up) and during an episode break I realized that I was stalking through the house with a Gladius in my left hand, a 1911 on my hip, and looking for a Carbide blade sharpener...

And it struk me that if anyone chose that moment to kick in my door they would likely die of "WTF!?!" before I could even respond...

It's a good feeling to have.

I have a mental vision of that scene. Hope I can lose it before bedtime. :o

You're right that is weird. A Gladius goes with a revolver, never an automatic.

A Sykes/Fairbairn, Applegate/Fairbairn, or Smatchet is the correct way to accessorise a pistol & kilt

It's not a kilt if it only hangs six inches below the belt line, that is called a slutty schoolgirl skirt.

If you're going to wear a kilt surely a Claymore and Scottish pistol would be more appropriate.
The blue woad of course is optional.... :D

Wasn't it an all steel Scottish flintlock pistol that fired the first shot at the Battle of Lexington?

I'm guessing that people who wear kilts, don't have to cross many barb wire fences.

Yeah, but if it had happened, I sure would like to be the responding deputy filling out the crime report.

And I'd be sure to have plenty of witness statements and pictures.

I would have thought that a gladius would pair well with a 1911. Katana swords pair well with 1873 single action style revolvers. Claymores pair well with anything. I'm not going to argue that point with anyone capable of swinging one for any length of time.

As far as I know, "Homicide by WTF?!?" isn't even a misdemeanor.

I mean... WalMart.
