Dude, all your western/rural chique ok... but given your Steampunk Proclivities, you really need to upgrade from "Trapper/Mountian Man" to Mad Scientist.

I'm glad to see the African Queen is up and running again :D does Bogie still have to hit the pipes with a hammer when she plays up????

I think OI is correct, there is certainly some scientist mixed in with the mountain man.....

GunnyMack, yep Rush L on the radio. :)
No kit on this engine, all scratch built, the engines on the wood logging locos are kits.

Good job man. Wish I could stand up long enough to build something. I need to set up my casting pot on a lower bench so I can sit while casting.

Pitchy, have you ever thought about scaling UP one of your steam engines? Like putting one on a lawn tractor? Be one heck of a head turner in parades and such.

Yepper, over the years I`ve built some bigger ones and had a few factory engines but my old body isn`t up to heavy stuff anymore but ya never know.

This isn`t steam but ya might find it interesting, I built this tractor about 20 years ago, don`t have it now kinda wish I did.

Lenn, that tractor is just freakin' awesome. Really nice rhythm to that Fairbanks-Morse. I wish you had it back too!

i get more amazed with each of Pitchy's inventions. Maybe you could build a huge steam engine and attach it to a monster barge.....load her up real packed with freight from the coastal cities and head to the dark continent for some unloading. :D ----6

Pitchy, the stuff you have made is absolutely amazing. You have serious, major talent.

Wow, Pitchy, you have had a lot of engines! I'm not sure which is my favorite, the Marion or the Innes.
We have a great Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association event just a short drive north of here on two weekends each summer. I am a member of our local EDGETA branch.

Looks like fun Bill 8)
The Marion was a 25 hp side shaft four cycle engine, they're fairly rare and spendy.
The Innis is a half breed that was converted from a steam engine into a gas engine, most these engine ran the oil rigs and ran on natural gas right out of the ground.
It also used a pendulum governor which are neat to watch.
Fun fun but I don`t do it much anymore, just mess with the small stuff at home. :)

Pitchy you are indeed a talented man!
I am going to send your links on to a friend, he is going to love your work!

Maybe we need to load Pitchy's barge, head for the dark continent and do some huntin!

I wish you and my Grandfather could have met. He was a blacksmith, and could make about any part anyone needed. He repaired tractors, plows, cars, and almost anything metal during WWII. My dad sharpened drill bits for him as a kid. The ability to build things would be priceless if the country were to ever collapse.
