Glenfield 30 30 in the news.....homeowner ends home invasion

I'm sorry the young man dies mostly because taking a life is heavy burden for another to have to take on and because of the heart ache for a set of parents but in the end it is hard to find fault with the actions of the homeowner.

Happy to read that the homeowner was able to defend his life!

Perhaps if all criminals had the expectation of being shot and killed, they would cease to ply their trade.

Another recent event, in Florida, has the innocent homeowner charged with manslaughter, and reckless discharge of a weapon for shooting at, and killing criminals....

Nice story with a happy ending. The homeowner will have to deal with the emotions for the rest of his life.....who cares about the other three low life's.

Cleaning lady?.....it's why nobody comes into my house except very very good friends whom I have known for many years......even then, they know they have to call in advance...no just "stopping over".----6

A 30-30 round in the backside is not my idea of a good time.

I believe according to the article it happened up in north east Michigan.

Perhaps this is the one Blaine is referring to ... Minnesota (but he looks like a Floridian) ...

Don't worry. When I see crazy stuff like that in the news I just assume Florida until I read otherwise. It seems to work out for me ... and I live here so I should know.

Ok, the one guy shot and killed a guy inside his home... the other fellar was shooting folks out in the street. I see the difference... One guy used a .30-30, the other a .45...

I recently switched to a Marlin 336 in .30WCF for home defense, just not a huge fan of the 12 gauge anymore... :O

Glad the home owner came out okay. But the comments by the officer about smelling the burnt gunpowder thought out the house, and a "haze" in the air came off sounding like the LEO wasn't really on the homeowners side.
