356win Barrel length

Have my eye on a Marlin 30/30 MXLR. Thinking about converting it to 356win.
What do you think I can get velocity wise with the 24" barrel?

If it wasn't so cold out, I could take mine out and get you some figures. IIRC, it is about 150fps faster than the factory 20" version. JES did mine

QuickLoad thinks the difference would be a little less than 100 fps (85 fps in the H335/200FTX load I hypothesized).

For 100fps does not sound like a great improvement. I would stick with the 35 remington or get a 338 me
