I Invented A Sammich

Post by Blaine »

A "Tubby The Tuba"

Colby cheese, bacon, egg sunny side up, and spam grilled in bacon grease on top of a corn meal waffle.

Yes, it was very, very good. It's on the menu from now on.

I've seen several good spam recipes, the final step is always throwing out the spam.

Spam is American! Be patriotic, eat Spam at least once a week...

It's not like you are eating like my buddy, he would order a doz eggs over, stack o hot cakes, triple order of bacon and home fries & toast. Waitress would have a look of disbelief on her face every time.
I'd chime in and say yes he is serious. She'd bring all that and he would eat every last bite!

Back in the Army Days, especially overseas in the messhalls, I'd put down a huge Army Breakfast, Huge Army Lunch, a Huge Army Dinner, hit the NCO club for a half-rack, and pick up a large Anthony's Pizza for a midnight snack. Never gained a pound. Ya worked it off all day.

Yep, lard in the gallon cans. Food tastes much more better. We would go about 5 miles up the road and buy fresh churned salted butter. Everything tasted better, why a kid would ask for seconds and thirds with Mama's cooking.

I wish I could that much. As Blaine said, no weight gain, all burned off and with all the fried foods at 71+ I still am not fat or skinny, really in great health.
