Ranger Point Precision levers in 9mm, 40 S&W and others...

Post by kaschi »

Ever here of Ranger Point Precision? Just found out about them on another website. They convert Marlin 94s to 9mm, 357 SIG, 40 S&W, 10mm, and a couple other wildcat cartridges. Check them out at: www.rangerpointprecision.com

Perhaps because factory 9mm is cheap. That you can get more of them in the mag might have some appeal as well. I've thought .45 ACP would be nice for a Henry; it would allow them to make the receiver the correct length.

Very interesting...!

That 35 Remington modification looks interesting too...

What with reloading and all, I think I'll leave my 1894c just the way it is! :P
However, IF I'm ever able to snag another one, I'll keep it in mind for my Glock 23's ammo.

Except for setting the barrel back, there's nothing terribly difficult about converting a Marlin 1894 to a rimless cartridge. Retiming the carrier is bit tedious as it's mostly affix more material to the bottom of the carrier, then grinding some off for trial & error fitting. IDK what's involved with the "short stroke", but...

Hmmm... 22TCM?

Yes, that ammo is cheap, but if you can afford the cost of that conversion I doubt cost of ammo is an issue. The concept is interesting. I would buy a 9mm carbine lever for a reasonable price. The price makes that rifle impractical for me. It isnt much more expensive to run a .38/357 carbine. I had one for awhile and will probably buy another someday, for a lot less than $1800 + plus supplied rifle for conversion.

I am digging the 36RPP. I have been emailing him back and forth on it.
