I Bought Myself A Birthday Present

Post by Blaine »

And, I'll be selling my motorcycles.... :( I think it's time. Losing my edge.

But, today, I went and bought a replacement for them.

2012 Mustang. No bells and whistles, just an automatic. I was thinking about the GT with a V8, but this V6 has 310hp, and is faster than blazes. All I need or want.

Oh, well...time marches on, but even old boys need their motor toys.... 8)

I'll pick it up in a couple days after they clean it up, prep it, and fix a few little rock chips.

Better put a golf-ball under the gas pedal if you're "losing your edge"... :D

Happy B-Day, pal ! (I like the car, too)

R U Boss Blaine, now ? . ;)

I like to break my neck, every time I try to get into a pony car (Camero, Firebird, Mustang, etc); but my smaller friends have N.P. - go figure...

Happy Birthday Blaine.

Nice car. Sorry you are de-biked, but a good rider knows when "its time".
My son has had two Mustangs, an 05 with a six, and an 05 GT. Both were really nice cars and a lot of fun.
This spring he bought a brand new purple Hemi Challenger.

I live vicariously through him. :D

Right you are my friend. They ain't cheap.

However, I see a lot of them on the road up here. I'm thinking with the new water head 103, the trike will still skate right along without feeling mushy.

Meanwhile, enjoy your Mustang..........its the right color too.

Maybe something like half of a tennis ball. That way you can press down if you really want to, but it will give feedback when you are reaching the do not pass go, go directly to jail range.

A set of semi-aggressive Flow Masters will happen, and a good K&N air filter will do for now.

My poor old heart couldn't take it...BoxStock it's doing 0-60 in about 6 seconds. Several reviews claim 14 second 1/4.......It's not V-8 times, but it's sure good enough for me. The onboard computer sez I'm getting about 28-30 mpg cruising around on the road. There are some particularly wicked twistys heading out to Mt Rainier. It's very deft on the corners, faster than my motorcycle.

Nice ride Blaine! I haven't ridden my street bike in 3 years! Need to sell it too, but already have a couple hotrods, so it wont be replaced with a car. Maybe another gun?

Highway 7 past Eatonville is a FUN ride! Right in your back yard too!

I did it in a 67 Camaro 30+ years ago. Just don't hit Bambi! ;)
