OT - titles and pictures

So, Hobie - what's with the titles ("levergunner", "pilgrim"), and how does one add his picture to his name on the left hand side of a post? Not that any of you want to see my ugly mug, but it is kinda cool seeing who we're talking to!

I figured out how to post a picture with photobucket anyways.
Resize the picture in photobucket as small as it will go, then copy and paste the "Direct Link" into the "offsite avatar" box in your profile.

I'm thinking that the best way to get moved back to the old site is to try to get comfortable here. Always worked when I was in the Army. If you don't like "Pilgrim" what do you think a new poster should have as a title? Next up is "Levergunner", "Senior Levergunner" and "Lever Lover". Maybe the order should be altered? Hey, I'm open to suggestions.

Uh, I ain't Hobie, but here's some additional information. You'll need a picture hosted somewhere on the internet. Maximum image size should be 80X80 pixels and 6 kilobytes in file size. Once you get it uploaded to an online site you'll need to go to your profile (Click on "Profile" at the top of the page after you log onto the forum) then scroll to the bottom of the profile. There you'll see a place where you can type (or paste) the direct URL to the image. Note: the direct URL to the image should end in .jpg or gif depending on the type of file you uploaded. Photos will usually make smaller files as .jpg - if you design your own then .gif will be OK. So you'll need the direct link to the URL - NOT the page it MAY be on. So look well, if the URL doesn't end in .jpg or .gif you've not got the direct link to it. As mentioned above, photobucket should have a direct link available to use.

And I know I shouldn't have to post this, but just in case there's dense folk around, any inappropriate avatars will result in the deletion of the user's account. A pornogrpahic avatar is an automatic deletion by any of the moderators. Complaints by other members over an avatar for other reasons will be reviewed by a panel of moderators and appropriate steps taken. This is a family friendly forum, let's keep it clean. This paragraph is for the (thankfully) extremely rare boneheads that sometimes show up. Most of us already know how to at least fake good behavior and proper etiquette.

Hobie - I like the order. At what posts do you plan on the titles kicking in? I do really like Pete44ru's "Pending Poorman" idea. We could expand on that and say the next level is "Poorman", then "Obsessed Poorman" and finally "Just Plain Flat Broke"!
