Without going into detail, RKrodle's wife is in need of our prayers. Serious health emergency.

Thank you all for the prayers. Yesterday afternoon Becky suffered a massive stroke, I rushed her to the local hospital who stabilized her and then she was flown to a hospital in Dallas. There she underwent surgery to repair the ruptured blood vessel, remove the blood, and relieve the pressure from the swelling. This AM they did more scans and the Doctor was very pleased with the results, the bleeding had stopped. She is heavily sedated still and will remain so for at least another day. Constant monitoring throughout the day has shown the pressure on her brain to be staying at normal levels and that the blood supply at the brain is at correct oxygen levels. Her blood pressure was 250/130 when we arrived at the first hospital and they had problems controlling it until after the surgery, it has now stabilized with the aid of medication. She has movement in both legs and both arms, but it is better/normal on her left side and weaker on her right side. I can home this evening to spend some time with our grandchildren for Christmas and called to check on her, the nurse said that the right side has shown some improvement. This is great news. I'm very lucky to have great family and friends who are very supportive. Prayers have been pouring in for Becky and I ask to PLEASE continue! Even with the best prognosis the doctor said she could expect to be there a month. The next day or two will tell the tale of how much damage was done. Please pray for our grandchildren which we are raising, they are 5 and 11 and this has been hard for them to understand and deal with. I have to give a big Thank You to all the nurses and Doctors at both hospitals, they have all been amazing.
Ricky

Ricky,
Thanks for the news and it is promising.
Marty put Becky on the prayer list at the Farmersville Methodist Church and the place was full Christmas eve - that can only help.
Hang it there, buddy.

Haven't been on Leverguns for a while, and just saw this. Prayers sent. I know that strokes are something that it is totally individual as far as the healing goes. Don't discount the power of prayer in the healing process.
