What did you draw out on this year?

My 18 y/o son and I drew out on General Buck Deer in one unit, and Cow Elk down on a CWMU. I believe only 12 public tags were issued for this CWMU so we're pretty excited, my son took a cow elk out of there 2 years ago. We can also get a control permit for a cow elk attached to any antlered hunt (Buck, spike, or bull) after the 21rst of the month if it's allowed on that unit...... now, which gun to take????

Congrats! Sound like fun.

Our draw results come out July 16th. Antelope and Mountain goat results are released August 10th. I am hoping for Antelope this is my ninth year drawing for trophy Antelope.

AFAIK, the only New England game drawings are for Moose - everything else is covered by either a hunting license or a license + deer tags ( we can take up to 8 deer in my state, provided a $12.50 tag is pre-purchased for each deer).

Add to the list at the top that I just got a landowner tag for another cow elk in November. If we fill these tags I'll be needing another freezer...

Got a cow elk Sat eve up on top of the mountain, it was raining, muddy, and foggy. We quartered her out about the time it got dark so we tied the quarters up in a tree and hiked a mile off of that mountain in the dark to get to the truck. Got her packed out the next day.
