Last GPW Jeep produced by Ford at one of it's plant's during WWll, 1945. The sign indicates it is number 93,389. The serial number is 20748944.

G-K +1 and I strongly agree on both; plus your assesment
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I saw one on the street recently in Shelbyville, Indiana.
It looked to be "still in service", that is, it was not shiny clean and looking like new or restored.
I guess you might say, " a time machine" or on the set of MASH.

Some of little farms around here still have old surplus Jeeps in service. They're rusty, multicolored, and modified but they are still going strong. I'd like an M38 in full military trim myself.

I used to build 1/25 scale model cars, that would be a lot of fun to assemble a 1/1 scale jeep :D

We had WW II vehicles, Jeeps, 3/4 Tons, 2 1/2 Tons, in the National Guard in NJ and Iowa, but that was the 70s.

For all of the HumVee's attributes, it has one major problem. They are WIDE.

The original Jeep was small, light and nimble. But, Jeeps over the years have slowly gotten wider, longer and heavier. Even my CJ-8 is wider than the originals. After 60 minutes did the hatchet job on the CJ (a staffer was killed in an on road roll over in which he was driving way to fast and trying to drive it like a corvette). Jeep made the track wider. Not much, but enough to make a difference in clearance on some trails.

Wasn't Born Losers the first of the series? I seen to recall it didn't do that well, but after Billy Jack, folks wanted to see it. I believe it was re-released.

It's claimed in Hollywood that Silvester Stallone ripped of "BORN LOSER" when he made "FIRST BLOOD". :? Anyway, "BORN LOSER" was the only one worth watching, and a pretty good movie at that.
