I just don't understand... ( anybody want a Levergun?)

Post by Old Ironsights »

I was at a nearby gunshop today to buy some "NOS primers (3000 Fed Small Rifle Mag @ 17.99/K)

Saw NIB Pumas for $570ish.

They had a few used Winnies, inclusing a 70s(?) .32WCF for reasonable (sub $400) prices, but the thing that just made me insane was the 9410.

Used. Crossbolt Safety, Pistol grip. Cylinder bore. 95%+ condition.

$899.

Excuse me, but WTF!?!?!?

I bought mine (straight stock, tang safety), Last year, NOS for $400.

I just don't get it.

But anyway, there ARE some decently priced 30-30s available there.

Contact Blythes for details.

Jeeze OI don't you see it? Winchester is out of business, it wasn't made very long when they did make it and there won't be any more of them.

WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A GEN U WHINE COLLECTOR'S PIECE.

At least I'm sure that's the stand the gunshop owner is going to take.

$570 is awfully high, IMHO, for a Puma - I don't care if the company prexy hand delivered the thing to my door.

The post-64 pricing for the M-94's seem decent, though - unless they've been stored under someone's porch since new.

I could have sweared that Puma's (nice ones) could be had new for $400-500.

Unless that Puma has already been worked over by a REAL pro - like our Steve Young - no way it should be priced that high. Someone's smoking something...
