OT - saxaphone music search.

Post by spurgon »

My wife is looking for a cd of "slow sultry" blues played on the saxaphone.

Any music people here with a recommendation for such an album?

Amazon.com is the best for finding stuff, even if ya don't buy it there.

John Coltrane Black Pearls

I would search on "tenor sax" because that's the slow sultry one of the family.

Dave Sanborn is hard to beat. I have several of his albums and "PEARLS" is one of my favorites. Another artist to look into is John Klemmer, good cruising the backroads on a rainy day music. I have a local friend David Choy who usually plays backup for the best, his first solo album "Colors of the Heart" has received rave reviews with vocals of my close friend Josh Kahula, check it out for island style jazz.

PS Good sax music, a fire place, and a bottle of champagne, she'll be lettin' you go the the next gunshow with a blank check...
