Win 94 - pre 64 front sight height..?

I recently came into possession of a pre-64 model 94 and the front sight is missing.

I want to install a Williams Firesight front for it since my eyes aren't sharp, but I don't know the height.

Does anybody know what the dimension is to restore the front sight back to factory height.?

Not sure if the rear is factory or not, here's a pic...

from brownells chart for 94 carbine 30-30-& 32 .450 above the barrel includes the ramp and bead. Not knowing your ramp height I would guess .260,.281 or .310. danny

My pre-64 94 and M64 have .260 front sights. I am changing the 64 to a .310 so I can use the elevator on the second notch.

Thanks for all the replies fellas, that was a lot of help...

I dug around in my junk drawer and found a Marbles sight the appears to be about the right height..

It looks right, I'll give it a try first chance I get...
