BIRTHDAYS should I post?

Post by gamekeeper »

Guys, for quite awhile now I have wondered if I should continue posting birthdays.
I check the board index each day and read who has a birthday, it amazes me how many so called members only joined for one day to promote their web pages for gay bars etc..
I only post members that have recently visited the forum as we seem to lose a few good posters from time to time. :(
Some of our regular high posting members get lots of good wishes and other members get hardly any, which seems unfair, plus there's always the chance I'll miss someones birthday and not everyone lists the their date of birth anyway.
Of course by posting birthdays it keeps my posting numbers up when I have nothing intelligent or interesting to post, which is most of the time
So I'd like the opinion of you guys, should I or should I not go on posting birthdays :?:
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

It's never a bad thing to be nice. Do your thing and don't worry about the folks that might take offence. There will always be folks that are bothered by something.

I'd say keep it up. Though some of the folks that aren't real regular may not ever see their well wishes on their Birthday.

Yes, keep posting 'em. It's nice to recognize that a day is someone's "special" day, whether they get lots of wishes or just a few, it certainly can't be personal, as sometimes posts just get sorta lost in the shuffle, amidst a fast paced posting day, while others seem to be there at the top for quite some time on slower days.

I would say keep it up. It's a nice a nice thing you do on behalf of the forum. All members put their birthdays in the information when they sign up. Each day on the front page, the forum updates to whose birthday it is.

I just figure nobody would post their actual birthday on the internet but it is a nice feature like coffee with the morning newspaper.
