I never had one except the complementary $5 opener.

Yes and no.

Ebay has its (very limited) uses. I won't close the accunts, but I won't use them unless there is no other (intensively researched) option.

I'm championing www.reloadersauction.com right now. I use several antiquarian book seller sites for my book searches.

But if I absolutely MUST have a 1978 Malibu Barbie (not likely) I'll use Ebone.

They have the Right to not Factor for gun stuff. Fine. But then, I don't go to Victoria's Secret for Power Tools either.

I got one of those from Wayne just last week.

Honestly, since I don't have kids, if it weren't for the Electronics stuff I buy for work, I wouldn't care about Ebone.

But Business is Business.

Personally, I don't need em.

Nope nor do I intent to. I am not that black and white especially only on one issue and since e-bay does have it's uses I will continue to use them and search for gun parts and reloading suppiles in a different place.

Well, I am - and I vote that way too !

My E-Bay & Paypal accounts are now closed, with my complaint/explaination.

I also refuse to join AARP - no matter how many discounts they can get me.

A American A Association[/b] of R Retired P Persons

They decided, some years back, to start messing in politics outside their purview - taking an anti-gun position on multiple pieces of legislation that had zilch todo with retiring.

Nope.

There are things to buy and things to sell that have nothing to do with guns.
Things that are difficult or impossible to find else where.

I'll keep my accounts for now.

Nope.

I still save money and make money off it.
I wrote them and complained, but I probably made a thousand bucks there last year just goofing around.

I refuse to go to walmart or the mall, and if I can't find what I want from a locally owned business I'll often save the gas and go to ebay. Buying from the good folks trying to recycle their junk and make a buck.

Paypal still has the lion's share of the market and I like being able to offer a way for my construction customers to use their credit cards. People generally trust paypal because of name recognition.
Kind regards,
Tycer

I seldom used eBay for gun parts purchases anyway, so the answer is no and no. The venue is very handy for other stuff.

Nope. See no use in being a sheep. Plus, when you buy on eBay, you are buying American. It's a free country, they can make their own rules just like I can as it should be.

This is the God's Truth Tubby.
A couple of weeks ago, I went on ebay to cancel my account.
I took one last spin around ebay to see what was for sale, and I ended up bidding and winning a $300.00 Mexican hand made holster and belt for $54.00. It fits my Uberti Cattleman perfectly.
Just call me the Waffle Man.

AARP, can KMA

Now to the regular thread, already in progress.

After posting what I did on page one a friend of mine in Arizona sent me a link to one of his forums. It's a ham radio forum.
http://www.eham.net/articles/17472?eham ... af149762cd

They were discussing PayPal. After reading many complaints of abuse by PayPal on my shooting forums, and then reading the thread he sent, my wife and I discussed it and then closed down our PayPal account.

The big reason is they have access to our checking account weather we like it or not. We don't. Nor can we take any chances with some screw up on anybodies part and us loosing funds from our account.

We kept the eBay account for now, and anything we buy we'll just pay for with a USPS M.O.
