Re: Chiappa Triple Threat Shotgun
good luck with that.
Re: Chiappa Triple Threat Shotgun
That video is a riot
Not sure of the application though. Too heavy for upland game, too weird for home defense
Me: Stop or I'll shoot
Bad Guy: What is that thing?
Me: It's a gun
BG: No way
Me: Yes way, better stop
BG: Laughs and keeps coming
BANGBANGBANG
Prosecutor: You did what with what?

Looks like the answer to the question nobody ever asked.

Look at the second video.
I would love to have one in 10 gauge.

Sometimes you don't need a question to enjoy the answer

I would not like to carry it very far.
Re: Chiappa Triple Threat Shotgun
So it's a drilling......except all three barrels are the same.
Kind of makes sense I guess, but Chiappa does have some odd ideas.

Hee Hee...
I like it.
I like it.

I once saw one like it at Westley Richards but did not get a chance to try it..

Maybe a 3 across... SxSxS... Or 2 over and one under
The single-trigger idea has some merit, especially for HD..
I don't see the need for one in my circumstance..

I think it's a grand idea! What's not to love? It's a SXS with an extra - Sx3? ! Cool! I want one!

Weight and freight?
Seems a 20 would be a lot less bulky. Wouldn't have the oomph of a twelve, but a lot more than a .410 out of a snubnose rifled barrel.

Re: Chiappa Triple Threat Shotgun
I'd take one if it had a 30/30 on top and 28gauge on bottom 2 barrels. More I shoot the 28, more I think it should be more popular.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Re: Chiappa Triple Threat Shotgun
typically multibarrel guns, if quality built, weigh little if any more than a regular double. have had lots of drillings, and even a tribarrel 12 ga., side by side with another 12 under; that gun weighed 7 and 1/4 pounds. typical of a 12 ga. side by side. the barrels support one another, so they can be tapered quickly to eliminate the extra weight.
i dont know about this chiappa, though, it does appear a bit 'chunky'
still it looks interesting at that, but for me only with a regular butt stock.

Too bad Val Kilmer didn't have one of those in "Tombstone", that shootout would have made more sense! I mean, three shots out of a double?Buck Elliott wrote:Maybe a 3 across... SxSxS... Or 2 over and one under
