I love anything with air cooled 4 stroke motors including Corsairs, Hellcats, and Harleys but here's one of my new favorites a Morgan 3 Wheeler made by Morgan Motorcar Company of Worcestershire, England. http://www.morgan3wheeler.co.uk/home.html
This car combines beautiful British coach work with a smooth, reliable Mazda Miata 5 speed transmission, and an amazing made in USA air cooled 2 liter V-Twin S&S motor. This motor produces "just" 115 hp but it is a torque monster. The design harks back to Morgan's original car from 1910. It weighs in at 1100 pounds so it does 0-60 in under 5 seconds. It's loud, and not the smoothest riding car but it's fun and has an awesome retro cool factor. Too bad it costs $45,000 in the US, and the 2012 production run is already sold out. Pretty cool looking machine. Wonder what happens if rear drive wheel blows out, in regard to safety. Can you get a trailer hitch for towing a fishing boat for it. ATB

Haven't seen one of these in years! I had no idea they still made Mogs. Do they still use a wooden frame? The only car I know of that hadda be treated for termites.
That is extremely cool and just plain interesting looking...not to highjack but its way more unique than what I'm working on...just completed rebuilding and detailing an original 406ci tri-power Ford Big block..it will be going into an Shelby AC Cobra replicar kit after I save a few more bucks...with the hot solid lifter cam and hi comp 427 heads we are guessing hp in the near 700 range...ought to make for a wild ride when its all done...I think the Morgan will be slightly stingier with the $4.50 a gallon premium gold
Liberty Motors of Seattle, Wa. also makes their Liberty Ace powered by a Harley-Davidson 88" or 103" Twin Cam B motor.

I, unfortunately, know about the Triking kits. Unfortunately because I
don't have the time to do anything about one!
There used to be kits offered with different engine possibilities like
the H-D V-Twins, Moto Guzzi engines, and the Honda CX500/CX650
series of motors. Dual gas tianks, differnt disc brake setups, etc., etc...
I gotta go now - drool in the keyboard - AGAIN while on this forum!
Back in the early sixties I had a teacher who bought an old original Morgan 3 wheeler for about $10.00 yes TEN DOLLARS!
He loved it till one day at a junction a 500cc Matchless drove straight through it and over his and his wife's lap.
They were OK but the Morgan was a write off.
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.
Too many projects already but that really screams to me!
Let's see, I have a set of heads, pistons and jugs, complete crankshaft and most of the internals for a nose cone shovel. Plenty of lumber for a frame. No, just not enough years left.

A friend from a motorcycle website is scratch-building a 2-1 trike-car totally without plans. He grafted a shaft drive Suzuki motorcycle rear suspension and driveshaft to a hand made double A frame front using MG knock-off hubs and wire wheels. His power will be an 1100CC water-cooled motor, but COULD be anything meant for shaft drive if mounted normally (with a connector shaft), or any chain or belt drive if the motor were rotated 90 degrees as the Morgan does. Use of the Morgan method allows a TINY auto gearbox (like the Miata tranny) with reverse..... They go like stink, and are amazingly stable. Worst you will do is spin one out. Tipping is near impossible. They ARE rough on rear tires.
I can see the motor is eye catching, but I'd like to build something like that with a Goldwing motor. Maybe the chromed up Valkyre motor. A drive shaft and tranny all ready done and twice the power. Back to reality. My daughter's car has a heater hose leak. Back to the garage.
