If it's an Anschutz it won't be any fun at all.
No mater how many rounds you fire you will only put one hole in the target. :)

My only experience with Anschutz was with the K-State Rifle Team in 1972. Fantastically accurate in 50' indoor match. As 765x53 said; honest one hole groups, as many times as you pull the trigger if you can control your breathing.

As for the Mannlicher style stock, I love them. Price, no idea.

That appears to be the model 1418 Mannlicher, if it is something in the $600-750 range is about right if it's still got the box the upper end is correct . I have seen these things go for as much as $850 before .

Blue Book says 100% $650 .

If in good or better condition you should treasure it. They are great guns. I have a friend who has one of those and HIS gun shoots very well indeed. Not as well as a match gun but nearly so.
Sincerely,

In a private sale, I wouldn't give much more than $500 cash for one.

He wants $1350 for it.I know thats way out of line thats why I was wondering what a more realistic price would be.I ll be passing on this as I can t see him selling it for a reasonable price.

I agree with 6pt.

The "funny" stock brings out premium buyers. I have seen them sell, in the $800 range, and over $1k with set triggers. The 22mag versions command a higher premium.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Many mannlicher stocked guns tend to have more accuracy problems than guns with
standard stocks. This is especially true when shooting and getting the gun warmed up a bit.
That said.....I LOVE mannlicher stocked guns, and own several.
I would love to own the one you pictured.
The prices folks quoted are dead on.
They ARE boring guns.........that one hole never seems to change!!!!

I have never understood the appeal of the long stocked rifles.
It seems like de-evolution.

I have never, and will never, let practicality stand in the way of firearm ownership :) :P

We'd need the exact model, but that appears to be a 64 actioned rifle. $1,350 would seem a bit nuts without knowing the specific model. You can pick up a 54 actioned rifle for that much money. I love Anschutz rifles, but the mannlicher style may not be the best choice accuracy wise as others have pointed out.
