The best present was saved for last...

#1 Post by awp101 » Mon Dec 26, 2011 5:58 pm

About 2100hrs last night Number One (step)Son and my DiL called to let us know she is expecting.

This has been a long road for them due to her having some kind of tube blockage (IIRC but I don't recall the name of it). After hormone treatment, an operation and fertility drugs they were told they only had a 65-70% chance of having kids. They won't be back to CO until next week so we're still waiting on "official" confirmation from her Doc but all the signs are there including two of those home pregnancy tests 8-10 hours apart. Since she's been on fertility drugs, it may be one or I may have a whole squad to train...

This is the first Grandkid for SWPUWM and I so we're pretty stoked.

Congratulations.. :D

The master replied " it is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war ".

Thanks all!

It's been quite interesting containing all the thoughts rattling inside my head the past couple of days. I don't have any kids of my own (and many say that's a good thing  ) so I can only imagine they are similar to the ones that pop in when someone finds out they are expecting their first child.

The plan for now is to pray for a safe, healthy baby and Mama. After that, the planning for said baby's (or babies) arsenal will commence. Do they make toddler tactical vests? How about in pink? (Gotta keep the options open  )
