Federal AE 45 Colt 225 JSP Any Good?
Just wondering if anyone would care to share their experience with the American Eagle 225 soft point ammo. I see it can be had cheaper than cowboy loads from some retailers. Thanks.

I didn't even know Federal made a JSP in .45 Colt. The only Federal ammo I knew of was their 225gr SWC HP.

Thanks for the link. I checked it out. Looks to be a fairly light load. 225gr @ 850 is lighter than the Winchester 225STHP and the R-P 225gr SWC and also the Federal 225 LSWCHP.
I will hunt some up and try them though. You should too.

Super, a comparative analysis! Make sure to try it both levers and sixguns!CBinNH wrote:Just wondering if anyone would care to share their experience with the American Eagle 225 soft point ammo. I like the Federal/American Eagle line-up of products.
They don't use premium bullets, and it ain't loaded particular hot, but the several calibers I've tried shot and shoot pretty good.
If I didn't have some other preference, I'd buy it.
