Family Portrait

Post by rjohns94 »

Well, all this .357 or 30-30 thread talk, woods walkin, and other threads, has me wanting to post the recent family photo:

This is my family of .357 calibers. The rifle is my much talked about (by me) and extremely reliable NKJ Rossi '92, brushed two tone ss with receiver sight and sling swivels. Upper left pistol is my S&W Pro 60-3, 3" flat sided barrel with adj sights and sambar stag grips. The upper right pistol is my .357 2 3/4" Ruger speed Six, I have elk stag grips on the way for it. Bottom right is my .357 Bond derringer with sambar stag grips. The black sheep of the family is the Model 10-6 in .38 special. This pistol is not fired, but has the slightest of holster wear on the edge of the muzzle. That one is getting ready to head out on its own and is listed in the classifieds here for sale.

Nice collection Mike. I particularly like the Speed Six. How's that Bond derringer to shoot with mag loads? I have always wanted one of those.

Tutt, I like it alot. I use it more with snake shot than any other load but it handles .357 180 grain loads really well. The Bond is hefty and pretty large but it feels awesome in my hand and I carry it often.

Suhweeeeeet!!! I LOVE that set of 357s! Great thing you got going with all the matching Sambar Stag grips on the wheelguns... and that 3" Model 60 is juuuuust right! That's the one barrel length I am still looking to add...

Those look great Mike! Are you sure that Security Six doesn't have the longer tube? Here is mine, which my Dad carried for many years. It has the 2 and 3/4 tube:
