Well, Nixerterdemus has not contacted me in a week. The PMs have been delivered off this forum to him and my emails have been read with no reply. I am assuming he is too embarrassed to tell me he does not want the shotguns despite making a commitment to buy them. Thats ok, the funds he committed to spend were contributed to the WWF so the fund did not suffer. I have agreed to send the 20 gauge to TedH. Ted wants it. The 16 gauge is available but I wont post it in the classified. Moderators, you can remove the Wounded Warrier Fund stickys. If I sell the 16ga, I will put some money in the Colt .44special (ivory grips and an action job) and then offer it here for the WWF. Anyway, this is all a done deal. We sold a knife that added to the funds so in total we have $2200 currently for the WWF. AWESOME

Great job Mike! Too bad about Nix - he's missing out on two great guns for a song. TedH is a really great guy that will take care of and enjoy that 20b. Let me know is the 16 doesn't do and I'll help you sell it.

I don't understand some folks. Why bid on something when you have no intention on following through??? I'm sorry you had to deal with that Mike, but at the same time I'm glad I am getting the shotgun and doing my small part to help the Wounded Warriors Project. I've been without a 20 ga. for a few years and this one will fill that spot perfectly. I can't wait till dove season now!

Mike,

I'd love the 16 gauge... but have prior commitments that need to be met. Hopefully someone will step up. Lovely guns... If you've not had the opportunity to fondle one of Joe's creations... you WILL NOT be disappointed. Pics will NOT show you the quality of the gun.

Ok, I'm going to throw something out here and hopefully won't just confuse everyone.

I have no need for a 16 gauge even though it is a beautiful gun Joe! The spirit and cause for this auction Idea was very considerate and well meaning.

If someone out there is Gun Rich and Cash Poor and wants this 16 gauge I would be willing to be the "go between". In other words if there is a trade out there for this gun that is a fair trade and something that I do need :) work the trade with Mike and I'll send him the cash for the "traded" item. He can then have the cash for the donation. And ship the traded item to me.

I think that by looking at the original thread the 16 gauge was bid up to around $800 or so. (Prior to the unsubstantiated $1000.00 bid) We can work with this figure for starters.

I know this is a stretch but I thought it might be helpful. PM me with questions or clarification.
regards

Folks, I appreciate your efforts. The 16ga is here, if its something someone wants, let me know. Lots of people interested, but its a bad time of year for many. Its not going anywhere in a hurry. No need for someone to step up for someone elses mess. The fund has been paid and that is the most important. TedH and I have come to an agreement and he is happy. If someone WANTS it for $800 (which was the 2nd place bid) let me know, I will send it out and you can pay me when you can. Blessings.

Good to hear that both have been sold.

It's unfortunate that a certian individual doesn't
have the cajones to own up to his own actions.

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to whoever bought the 16. I've been trying to come up with a way to say I would take it and couldn't fast enough.

Congratulations to who bought it. :D

Hopefully we'll find out some day what happened to the guy. To say you're going to do something and then just fall of the grid without so much as an explanation, things do happen, but you man up and at least try to be as accomodating as possible. Explain your situation.

Personally I don't have a dog in this fight, but I have had friends in the past that owed me money and when they couldn't pay it back they quit coming around. The part that that always hurt me more than being owed the money was to think that a friendship had a monetary value of no more than the amount in question.

True, yet as a friend, there's no excuse for not communicating and trying to work out a resolution. Things happen to us all that change circumstances. Friends and family understand that. But there is an integrity and trust issue, both in this instance as well as among friends, that is paramount to the money. Without that trust, integrity and communication, I don't believe any friendship is possible -- or worthwhile if it isn't two-way.

Not having the money, or priorities changing (car needed repairs, lost a job, baby needs new shoes ... whatever) is certainly understandable. The lack of communication isn't.

Well, I don't think he is dead, he checked in and got my PMs. The emails were also delivered, just no response. I also hope he isn't sick and I find it very sad. This is the second time this has happened to me on this forum.
